Circuit layer operations per second

Fastest

CLOPS (circuit layer operations per second) measures how quickly a system can run layers of a standard test circuit, including the ordinary computing around it. Higher is better.

Why it matters

Speed decides how many runs a machine can do in a day, which matters for real workloads that need thousands of repeats.

Keep in mind

CLOPS was introduced by IBM. Different machine types trade speed for accuracy, so a fast machine isn't automatically a better one.
